no china release?
apparently all the upcoming Hollywood films that were scheduled to open in china might be getting cancelled due to the coronavirus
if so then no 1b for F9 for sure

Very little of the money made is returned to the studio in China. They may spend the promoting money now here and have a chance to make even more profit. A good movie doesn't need China.
shareYeah, China BO is just bragging rights. The whole system is nutty. Making a billion a dollars just to net a few hundred mill is crazy.
shareChina is still needed,but I think a good movie can be more profitable if better promoting is done. They could well make up the money lost if no China release. It can still be a billion movie easy.
