They failed to stop the DMA from being destroyed, why is she still in command? The whole Federation was at stake but the show just puts it off as if it was nothing until another DMA appears to progress the show forward. Dumb episode. There is always another way my ass when they failed their mission.

And DMA is the correct acronym. I'm not entirely sure what Rorikon is complaining about. Is it your opinion that any commander who fails a mission must be fired? I think if the US Armed Forces did that we'd soon have armies and fleets run by Sergeants and Ensigns.
The Federation has recognized that the species behind the DMA could be on the order of the Metrons or similar very powerful species. Stopping the DMAs is not an easy thing and there will be successes and failures. Proper leadership by the Federation must recognize when a failure is due to actions beyond the power of the commanding officer to prevent as opposed to incompetence or cowardice.
And just so you know, I'm not a great fan of Discovery. I thought the first two seasons were terrible. Three was better and four is middling.
It was literally a life or death situation hence why they sent Commander Nhan to go along with her to override her authority and get the job done if needed. The fact she failed shows the incompetence in leadership and having a conflict of interest with the suspects in question. She only lucked out that the DMA only regenerated and didn't send some Species-10 into a fit of rage and start wiping things out. Look at all the other times she's put her emotion above the objective and gotten many killed. She being reassigned or relived of command wouldn't be the first time for her in either case.

Her conflicts were known. Nhan did not overrule her. (why don't you suggest Nhan be fired.) She specifically tells her crew to follow Nhan's order over hers.
Note that they had reached a peaceful and equitable settlement until Tarka launched the weapon without Booker's agreement. You might argue that they should have know Tarka was a loose cannon, but you can also argue that they believed he would follow Booker's lead.
Many military missions are life and death. You cannot fire every captain who fails on a mission just because they failed. That is a very Mirror Mirror way to operate.

True but that argument becomes a fallacy given how we've already know he was a loose cannon from the beginning he went rogue. There was too much personal conflicts at play making this whole situation untenable from the get go.
I wouldn't say 'fired' but more relieved of their command post and put elsewhere. Like ramming your ship into a cargo ship accident you would be relieved of command.
