I think it would be an awesome one off, a real deconstruction of Trek and the genre in general.

I haven't seen anything by Tarantino for a long while. Has he mellowed at all in his age, or does he just see potential for his type of "edge" in the higher production values and generational update we've seen in Star Trek lately?
There's still 'edge' in his works PS but it's much more nuanced and requiring a bit of thinking as to how it is edgy and not just controversially topical in its initial display.
There's always plenty more under the veneer with Tarantino but the hook is generally for the masses, something which has decreased and become more refined, in my opinion, as he's crafted more movies.
I'm up for it just to see what comes out of it,it has to be better than Voyager or STD, rehashing isn't a good thing, deconstruction is.
Perhaps Shirley will chime in at some point 😉
