The character are so flat and one-dimensional, and they are not interesting at all, and the plots are warmed over garbage from movies decades back.

Jack Ryan always looks like he is about to break into tears. I cannot stand Krazinksi's face.

I got through season 1 because I could not find anything else to watch at the time ... but season 2 stunk, and just the first few minutes of season 3 ... I got the hint. Maybe I'll come back if I'm bored and try again to see if I missed something.

It's awful.

Everything about this show is just so off.
Totally agree.
If I were Wendel Pierce after showing up in this ante-bellum clown character I'd go jump off a tall building.

There's roles where the guy works, but not Jack Ryan, and the show has no good qualities either.

good production values, exotic locations, accurate CIA consultants, Wendel Pierce, good action sequences,
it's not elite TV programming but it's consistently interesting and entertaining
