Shame What Happened To Him!

Rick was no angel but the whole situation is really f'd up. From only being like 14-15 when the cops first gave him that brick to sell. They say he was one of the best informants ever taking down a huge drug ring and numerous crooked cops.

The FBI left him hanging because they didn't want it to come out what they did with a minor. 30 years is a joke let alone a life sentence. Just a sad story and it pisses me off.

The ones who had money for lawyers were able to get out quicker because they knew the lawyers would try to get the cases thrown out of court due to the dirty cops. So instead they got their sentences commuted or just paroled to save the drawn out and embarrassing fight in the courts.

I felt the same at first. But in reality (if the movie is realistic), he jumped back in and lived the life. He pushed his dad to do so. Yeah, it the feds screwed him as well. Legit justice would have been 10 years.

Shocking he gets the extra three years in a fed prison after all this time.

reply

I really thought they would let him slide on those extra years. Especially with the movie coming out and all the talk about his story. Just crazy that a hired killer, the guy that was contracted to kill Rick is already out of jail.

reply

Hes not even in a federal prison. Hes in Putnam Correctional Institution in Florida.

reply

he should not still be in jail

reply

Government officials should never use a child like this. If online articles are correct, he is not in jail for his actions as a minor. When he was released from jail, he became involved in a car theft ring. However, who knows if he would have done that if he had not been in jail all those years.

VERY SAD

All of this sympathy for a criminal who broke the law? Would most of these comments be supportive if a minority had done the exact same thing? Of course not, they'd be a bunch of *!99#rs getting what they deserve.

LMAO...SAME REACTION FROM ME...I AM NOT A RACIST BY ANY MEANS...THREE OF THE MAJOR RELATIONSHIPS OF MY LIFE WERE WITH WOMEN OF COLOR...THREE OF THE FIVE PEOPLE I RESPECT THE MOST ARE BLACK MEN...I CANT SPEAK FOR THE OTHERS.

He has been the victim of a draconian and indefensible sentence. Life without parole at seventeen - and he hadn't murdered anyone. America needs real justice rather than pandering to throw the key away bigots.
