The Defenders looks interesting but i didn't particularity like all the individual shows. I liked daredevil and some of iron fist, jessica jones was ok. Yet to see Luke Cage.
Is it worth watching if you didn't like / haven't watched all the shows?
Yeah its def worth it even if you didnt watch or like everything else...very good fight choreography, Sigourney Weaver is great, Rosario Dawson is super sexy as usual...
Luke Cage was pretty damn good too if you get the chance
The plot mostly involves stuff that happened in Daredevil season 2 and Iron Fist. If you have the time, I think it's good to watch all the shows just to get the full scope of everything.
shareFor anyone that hasn't and wants to give The Defenders a try, i would recommend they do watch all four shows. Daredevil and Iron Fist are the most necessary if you want to follow what's going on here, but being familiar with Jessica and Luke would probably make you appreciate the show a bit more. As well as get some of the references and stuff. But sure, their shows can be skipped if you rather watch The Defenders first.
shareI really wish I would have. Though I read the plot summaries/synopses for each particular show beforehand, I felt like I was missing some of the backstory regarding the characters. Unfortunately, I don't have the time at the moment to catch up on three additional series (four if you include "The Punisher").
I've been watching "Daredevil" since 2015, but even then I forgot about particular details that had taken place since the second season last aired in 2016.
I still enjoyed it for what it was. The scenes were action-packed, the villain was intimidating, the choreography was awesome as usual, and the characters worked perfectly as an ensemble.
I don't think there's a plan for another season. Netflix hasn't said anything. If they do, it'll be years before a script ever materializes. I'm sure by then I'll have seen the other shows.
