Ignoring the bigger threat

Thanos only will kill half of all life. The paradox of a giant dwarf will resonate through time and space annihilating the entire universe! Gaaaaah, just contemplating it is making me go insane. Like glimpsing the tip of one of Cthulhu's tentacles.

reply

No no NO!

The real threat is whatever calls a fifteen-foot-tall person a "dwarf".

reply

Or Loki and his people ice GIANTS

reply

Dwarves didn't start out as a names for a little people though. It was originally the name of a fictional race of smiths and miners. Their short stature didn't come until later, but they may have always had a stocky build.

reply

I think the fictional/mythical underground smiths and miners were always on the short side.

If your living space has to be hacked out of living rock, shortness is a huge advantage! So much less space to carve out.

reply

You'd think that, but their occupation/role came first.
