Are The Olsen Twins Being Selfish?

So obviously the question I want to pose to everyone is do you think Mary Kate and Ashley are ultimately being selfish for barely acknowledging the show? Now we've all heard the reasons why they can't appear. Ashley hasn't acted in years and doesn't feel comfortable in front of the camera. Mary Kate has a busy schedule with the fashion enterprise. The thing is, this show has been on for a whole year. They couldn't even be bothered to call in and make a "voice cameo"? There was a perfect opportunity in one episode where Stephanie calls Michelle.

Whether you like the show or not, Full House was a cultural phenomenon. I feel like they owe it to the fans to make some kind of appearance. Like I said, even if it's a quick phone call, that alone would be a big "thank you" to all the fans over the years. Instead it feels like they could care less. So what is everyone else's thought on this?

I think you're actually being selfish for saying this about them. They don't owe you, me or anyone else a thing. I'd love to see one of them on the show, but they don't want to. The reason is irrelavent. me the funny thing is that they're not even being rude about. They're not saying the show sucks, or they don't like the people. They just are not interested. If you can respect that, you're not a respectful person.

They "couldn't" care less, not they could care less. I think you at least owe it to all those who make an effort to speak the English language correctly to get it right.

They've 'retired' from show business and don't want to dragged back.

reply

1. They are retired from acting
2. They are too "big" for Fuller House. It would be demeaning for them to be reduced to appearing on a Netflix sequel to a cheesy sitcom.
3. The way their absence has been explained on the show has been corny as all get out. Breaking the fourth wall, talking about Michelle being busy running "fashion empire in New York," and a phone call scene with Michelle that is so obviously fake are things that make the show seem lazy.
4. They should just recast her with another actress. I vote for Chloe Grace Moretz.

Do fans "owe" actors anything decades later for series that turn out to be flops? Why should it be expected the other way around?

reply

IT DOESN'T MATTER!!!
