A Question that Needs to Be Asked

Someone should ask: who actually owns LucasFilm?

Is it Kathleen Kennedy or Disney?

Because KK acts like it's hers to promote her own views. At some point, you would think those over her at Disney would rein her in a little or replace her. It's pretty clear that her personal feminist, anti-white-male views are taking precedent over what is best for the long-term profitability of the franchise.

She's alienating the core fanbase, which is/was predominantly male, and she's not trying to grow the product to just be more inclusive, she's consciously attempting to trade the old fanbase (which is made of people she loathes) for a newer, more progressive, female fanbase.

If she thinks she's going to trade one loyal fanbase for another, she's severely miscalculating. Girls are never going to embrace Star Wars the way boys of my generation did. First, it's just not really a product that has mass appeal to little girls, so they don't care to go see the movies 5 times or buy 4 copies of every action figure. But beyond that, there is no loyalty nowadays, when there's something bigger and better coming along every 15 minutes, as compared to 30 or 40 years ago when most of us played Star Wars for about 7 years straight because there were no other distractions.

Kathleen Kennedy openly and proudly enriches herself with gender appropriation and PC bullzhit.

Hopefully Disney will step in and make the smart move of canning her ass. I don't see anyone really pro-KK, they're just lapping it up like fanboys do, but you can't tell me 99% of the fans wouldn't prefer Dave Filoni in charge. They should be thanking us, because it's now actually possible for a change in leadership to someone who knows what the hell they're doing.

I think the problem is Disney and KK. Disney chucked Lucas ideas in order to go in a totally different direction with these movies.

Longtime female and nonwhite fans of all ages are being alienated too. Some fans even said their small children didn't like Last Jedi.

KK has at least two bosses who are happy with her results. Each Disney SW movie has made at least a billion at the box office. If you don't like what's happening then don't pay to watch any of it until they get the message. That includes Episode 9, those standalones and upcoming TV shows.

There was a way to broaden the appeal to SW without alienating longtime fans. I just think incompetence mixed with arrogance is the problem and it's not only KK. Both Rian, JJ Abrams and others have been condescending and arrogant towards the fans too.

Replacing KK with another person who doesn't understand SW won't help either.
