So, the Prequels are acknowledged once again!

And people said Disney were planning to wipe out the PT.

Although I cannot figure out how Darth Maul survived.

I think it's about correcting the PT's mistakes.

The marketing for Episode I hyped up Darth Maul to a ridiculous degree, only to have him say two lines, do some silly acrobatics, then die. The Clone Wars wisely brought him back to placate that frustration, and it looks like - starting with this film - we'll finally get to see him actually be a proper villain on the big screen soon.

Though him igniting his lightsaber for no real reason other than a Star Wars film has to have a lightsaber in it somewhere was a little on the nose for my taste. The reveal of his face was enough.

Yeah there was no reason to ignite his lightsaber.

Well to be fair, they never really show battle droids, clones or even old ships from the PT era. They only did Maul now, in a trow away cameo. Kinda disappointing. I'd rather see a movie based on him than Han Solo. We have 4 movies with Han Solo, only 1 with Darth Maul. Could be cool.
Also all the spin-offs are based on OT events/characters. PT gets 0 love. The cameo of Darth Maul just isnt enough for me.

There are PT fans, don't leave them in the dark!

Yeah, Maul survives in the cartoons--which in itself was a little ridiculous. Maul would not only have not survived that fall, but when a person gets sliced in half, they die.

I guess what we can go on is that Maul is an alien, and a dark side force dweller, so his important organs may be only in his upper body, he would have lost his junk and package, and bum, so I don't know how going to the washroom works, and he probably used some sort of dark side meditation and hatred of Obi-Wan to stay alive.

So what the f-ck was the point in putting him in the movie?

reply

Solo sequel.

reply

Why make a sequel to a horrible movie?

reply

Have you seen it?

reply

Yes and it was a bad movie. Darth Mauls prescense had nothing to do with the plot(not that there was much of a plot to begin with)
