Rogue One, a good Analogy for what the Muslim world is up against.

Meanwhile many are crying about a lone rich guy driving an expensive SUV into a crowd in London; The UK and US has been bombing Middle Eastern villages and drone bombing middle eastern families for well over a decade now, only inflaming the very retaliations they claim to be fighting. You can imagine the horror Middle Eastern families must feel every time they hear a drone approaching not knowing what "error in intelligence" will send a missile flying into one of their market places, weddings, hospitals or homes. This can be likened to the horror London families might have felt when Nazi V1 rockets came sputtering over London wondering where their engines would cut out.

If the early Star Wars movies were often likened to WWII, Rogue One is certainly fitting for the seemingly unbeatable evil empire that enslaves us all, controlling us, spying upon us, and keeping us working nearly every day for the rest of our lives just to afford a roof over our heads while the Muslim world represents the Rebel Alliance. Are all the desert worlds in the movie representative of the Middle East or are they simply the wastelands left over after the destruction to the environments of these worlds the Empire waged against them? Is it representative of the war our Empire of Oil wages on our environments? One such telling sign of this is in Jedu where the mountain carved like a Jedi Knight laying on his side looks very much like a Bedouin warrior. Is the palm tree dotted Scarif Empire outpost much like the Hawaiian Islands which are occupied by numerous US military bases? Are Jyn and Cassian infiltrating Scarif to obtain the plans of the Evil Empire very much like Edward Snowden infiltrated the NSA in Hawaii to expose the behaviors of our evil empire? Is The Empire representative of the British and American governments and their military and the huge multinational corporate industrial complex that control them? Could this explain the British accents?

I don't think you're far off tbh. America is the evil empire.

The evil empire had a stupid 23 year reign. Palpatine's short rule will be forgotten, heck it already was forgotten by Episode 7's era.

Bush's invasion of Iraq was on the premise of a total and complete lie. All of it was a lie, and the entire Middle East is still feeling the punch. ISIS was created because of Bush's war and Obama's scheduled pullout.

I wouldn't compare ISIS to the Rebel Alliance. ISIS wants everyone on Earth to follow their interpretation of the Koran including other Muslims. Most of their attacks have been on other Muslims. They rape women, torture and kill innocent people and create destruction in Muslim populated countries. There is no freedom in areas that they control for the people who live there. They are evil.

A Star Wars comparison may be innocent people (Muslim populace) caught in the middle of the Jedi Sith Wars. Or caught in the middle of two Evil Empires fighting each other.

Unfortunately, I don't see any good guys stepping in as heroes saving the day.

Well first it was the Iranians, then it was the Taliban, then it was "Al Qaeda" then the CIA admitted that was largely a fabrication and the BBC documentary The Power of Nightmares proved as much but we are supposed to forget about all that. The list of countries the Empire has demonized in order to justify illegally invading is long. So maybe ISIS is another fabrication. It's hard to believe what the Empire pedals on us. I have no doubt ISIS exists but they are very similar to what happened in Cambodia with the Khmer Rouge after the Empire carpet bombed the whole country.
"They rape women, torture and kill innocent people and create destruction in Muslim populated countries." This basically describes what the west has done for the past 500 years and the Evil Empire for the past 100. Read Smedley Butler's take on it. But add onto that Native American populated lands, central American, South America, Asian, other European, Australian, Many African countries and Polynesia. So you need to put it into that perspective, step back and see the big picture and decide who is truly the evil ones. Again ISIS is simply another Pol Pot like manifestation of people driven to insane fundamentalism.

"I don't see any good guys stepping in as heroes saving the day. " Obviously the good guys would be all us lesser people of the Earth stepping in and demanding that they just stop the wars. Just stop it. Stop letting the wealth of our labor be used for such horror. Stop bombing people, stop invading people, droning people, stop helping those that do, to just utterly stop it. So solution isn't through violence, it is anti-violence, obviously violence just creates more of it which is something we are slow to learn. As the movie War Games stated at the end the only way to win is to not to play in the first place.

It's about money and power. The United States looks for perpetual warfare to feed the influential Industrial Military Complex. When the government drastically increases spending on war toys, then the military (and politicians) will find an excuse to play with them. Reagan's military spending helped lead to war in Iraq. Also, the U.S. wanted anti-American dictators out and puppets in to have control over their oil. Ditto Egypt, Libya and Syria.
Halliburton made 39.5 billion from Iraq paid for by the American taxpayer.

Trump wants a huge increase in military spending so in a few years we'll have another war. Deplete the war toys. Spend to build them up, again. Ugly cycle.

No.

So much no to everything you’ve said. Honestly how you or anyone got that from watching Star Wars rogue one is beyond me. I wonder if you just look for connections with these things where there is none.

reply

Johndass, Are you kidding? Guess you've never had an English class in high school where they analyze stories. There is no "looking" it is quite clear. Is it beyond you what the first 3 movies of Star Wars represented? Is it beyond you what a metaphor or allegory is? Do you just go around life where everything is completely beyond you? Are you a replicant? There is so much obliviousness to your statement that it is beyond belief.

reply

Yes I did. And just because I don’t agree with u doesn’t mean I’m a “replicant” or “oblivious”.

You see that’s why your argument fails... the “if u can’t see my point you must not be smart enough or any other insult”. Maybe, just maybe you’re wrong,,,, or maybe someone just doesn’t agree with you.

You got it wrong OP........ Muslims are overpopulating the earth. destroying everything, including animals and nature in the process.... because their false prophet is claimed to say they should.
they are stuck in the year 1300 ..... except of course when it comes to expensive phones and cars.

There are so many of them that they spread into Europe, the US and Canada, and continue what they do, until those places are the same hellholes as the countries they left.
sadly weak politicians have allowed it to happen

As "Sylvester the cat" would say:

"AWWW....... SHUT-UP!!!"
