No, it’s not better than the original, and it’s not trying to be, but it’s highly entertaining, doesn’t take itself seriously at all, has no sociopolitical message, is cheesy and self deprecating, and is ultra violent as well as gratuitous, minus the boobies, which only would have made it better imo.
