I doubt it's awful. This is from Pete Docter who did Monsters, Inc, Up, and Inside Out. I knew this was not going to be released in theaters, but I'm glad they're avoiding that "Premiere Access" stunt for Disney+.
shareI think it's because Disney+ wants to be a Disney version of Pay-Per-View and as we saw with Mulan I think the days of watching the new movies are gone and with Soul they will give it the same treatment like Mulan did by having people pay a lot of money to watch Soul and I don't think it will work. When Disney+ offered Onward for free to people who passed it up due to Coronavirus it worked. But it ain't gonna work for Soul in my opinion
shareWord of mouth so far has been it's one of the better Pixar films recently. Doesn't seem to be getting dumped and more as content to boost subscriptions.
