I'll borrow this...

...when my library gets a copy of the DVD.

My wife and I see a lot of movies at the theater, usually one every weekend. But some are relegated to DVD, based on the previews. And with how fast movies are going from the theaters to DVD these days, it's not that much of a wait.

This is one of those movies that might be funny, or might not. Better on DVD where you can gong it in the middle if it's bad.

Just stream.

reply

You mean DVD DVD? Not Blu-ray, but actual DVD?

reply

Yes, DVD.

It may come as a surprise to you, but they still make them.

reply

Why would anyone watch anything in SD at this point?

reply

My library only carries regular SD DVD movies. Until they start carrying BluRay discs I still watch movies in SD.

reply

Why don't you just download a blu-ray rip from the internet?

reply

Because I'm not that picky and the discs I borrow from the library have extra features that a ripped movie does not.

reply

I can't imagine watching anything in SD at this point, it's like an assault on my vision!

There were even some series I didn't watch at the time they were on TV and tried to watch later on because of all the critical acclaim (like The Wire), but couldn't, because the first season wasn't in HD (or maybe more seasons weren't - I wouldn't know because I couldn't get past the first episode).

But hey, whatever works for you.

but couldn't, because the first season wasn't in HD (or maybe more seasons weren't - I wouldn't know because I couldn't get past the first episode).

Then I'm glad I don't have your mental issues, and I can just enjoy a story on TV without fretting over the pixels.

I am sure you have many issues, actually, to be living this way in the year 2018.

reply

Am I so old that dvd's are obsolete?

reply

Well, have been for I'd say more than a decade now.

But like I said above, whatever rocks your boat.

reply

Do a double feature with The Hurricane Heist!
