I really enjoyed it. A few minor gripes. Mainly at the end. I wish we'd gotten more clarification on Munsch. And that last scene was weird and a little long. But good though. It played well. I liked it. Just felt slightly off-tone to me somehow.

And small thing, but it bugs me, Season 5 didn't connect to any of the other seasons, unless I missed it. And I like that aspect of the series. Seriously, they could've even just shown Indira grabbing coffee with her friend Molly or something.

And Karen. She sees Roy just killed her father, then bolts. I'm really not sure how to read this scene.

A) Karen ran, Roy followed, and Dorothy just happened to be there around the corner

B) Karen finally was in cahoots with Dorothy

I guess that Karen got arrested, and the last look she and Dorothy exchange, probably the former, but felt for a moment like it could've been the latter

Just finished it. Interesting ending.

"Ole Munch" stole every scene he was in. Congrats to Sam Spruell. That last scene was probably the best scene in the whole season. It was tense, funny, and sad.

Not that I noticed either.

The look of hate. She was still on Roy's side, unless I am somehow mistaken.

I just wanted to add a bit:

Congrats to Richa Moorjani as "Indira Olmstead" for being another scene stealer. Beautiful woman.

The way this season played out with the 3 main female characters joining forces to do away with the evil man, I wouldn't have been surprised if Karen too had joined them.

As usual it was a bit of an anti-climatic episode to a Fargo series. They build towards a final showdown between main protagonist and main antagonist but it often doesn't quite go the way you expect, the same way the final episodes of 1 and 2 didn't. I suppose it's in keeping with the film though.

The last scene was a bit weird and to be honest I never felt Dorothy was in any real danger since she has been shown to be a super ninja who can't be taken down by anyone.

There were a couple of subtle-but-not-really callbacks in 1) - the couple of times you had that drum beat music which was reminiscent of the "Mr. Wrench" theme that was (I think) used for Munch, & 2)- Witt's line to Gator about "....the consequences are coming" kind of echoed Lou Solverson's warning to Peggy & Ed when he began to figure out that they had something to do with what happened to Rye.

Granted, these were pretty obscure references.

Yeah, I mean something more narratively solid, actual connections, not references. Ah well. Possible if they do a Season 6, it could connect to5 *and* one of the others, thusly connecting them all. And it doesn't really matter or detract from my enjoyment, just something I like.

The last act took 20 minutes out of the episode. It's getting praised but it was too long and too meandering.
