Well, that sucked

I was looking forward to this film for months. The books are not great, but the trailer looked very good. It was a disappointment to say the least.

They had so many awesome, bizarre, creepy concepts, I should've been quivering in my chair. That didn't happen because the delivery was FLAT. Every potentially awesome scene came with a dull thud.

Also, would've been nice if they had expanded the universe a little. I cound three different species (all were in the trailer...) and some weird flowers. It needs more features. If you want me to be in awe, then build me a WORLD.

Metamorphosing plants, alligator, deer, bear (that drains the last bits of memories of the victims it kills), and humans. All I got was purdy colors and a lot of lens flare. Still it's rated pretty high for some reason. 6.8 is my rating for it.

Wow! I couldn't disagree more. I LOVED this film, and give it a 9.8/10! It's a Sci-Fi Masterpiece imho. It's not only the best Sci-Fi film I've seen in a long time, but the best FILM period! The cinematography, sound and score were also excellent.
I'm going to buy the CD.

I guess that's why they make chocolate and vanilla.

I know these posts are old, but that's the nature of the internet. Stuff said lasts forever.

To get to my point...almost EVERY SINGLE thread has you throwing words like "masterpiece" around and saying how phenomenal this film is.

It's crazy misleading, as someone who reads this might actually accidentally waste their time watching it.

If the message boards are composed of basically everyone saying how awful a movie is, and 2 or 3 people vehemently defending it, it doesn't really scream "masterpiece".

Some words/concepts are thrown around too much without much thought. These boards are full of them.

I've asked you a million times not to exaggerate, Windy!

What?
That was like my 5th comment on these boards.

GOTTA PACE YOURSELF.

oh, dear.....

It was my 5th comment.
"Oh dear" is a difficult thing to reply to, as it adds nothing to the conversation and is basically impossible to tell what was meant by it.

Movie man said, "I've asked you a million times not to exaggerate, Windy!"

You took that old joke seriously and responded with, "What? That was like my 5th comment on these boards."

You missed the joke. :)

Guess I'm not old enough to have ever heard it before lol.
