only good thing about that episode was dumba was back writers are having trouble with plot lines the should have an ending then make up story right the plot to kill presidents wife was someone saying would if and it was lame

I'm wondering if history has repeated and someone has replaced Katerina and assumed her identity to flush Red out.

My best take on it is that this Third Estate organization now had the President in their pocket to do their bidding. The only flaw in their plan was that his wife wanted him to come clean about the vehicular homicide he had committed and that threatened to bring down his Presidency. So they were arranging to have her killed and make it look like a botched assassination attempt on him. Then they would be in full control. So Reddington wanted to bring the President down to prevent the Third Estate from taking power. For Anna McMahon, the Third Estate's radical ideas were in line with hers and she felt by putting them in power, she was thus "saving the country" - typical excuse of tyrants.

As to why Katarina stabbed Reddington, I'm sure that's what the next season will be all about. It appears she may have stabbed him with a syringe to only knock him out. Naturally, Reddington won't die; the show could not survive without him.
