They could have cast a hotter actress as the lead

They really couldn't cast a beautiful, sexy woman as Rey. They wanted audiences to root for her to become a Jedi, not having half the audience yelling "NOOOO!!!! Don't become a Jedi, Jedi are CELIBATE!!!!!!!!!!".

Which you're already doing.

Well, you just don't understand the economics of making big tentpole Disney films. Disney wants every last human being on Earth to see these films, and they've done the math, and have figured out that less than half the world's population thinks with their dicks. More than half don't have dicks at all, being female or just unfortunate, and a good percentage of the be-dicked are young enough or old enough to think with other organs.

Yet another way in which these films aren't being made for the fanboys.

Kaley would fit right in with the Rebels!

She'd be totally believable as the kind of gal who knows just the right angle to use, when kicking a Stormtrooper's codpiece.

Kat Dennings is hot but an impractical choice for the role. An athletic build is ideal for action. KD's massive chest would get her killed in a duel. Or she'd slice one off by accident causing the Achoo caretakers jaw to drop.

I think she is, though she falls into the "unconventional beauty" category for me, the same as women like Claire Danes and Aubrey Plaza do.

It's too bad that "Rey" is the most annoying character I've ever seen though. It's because of her character that I passed on watching a new Star Wars movie for the first in my life in 2017 and passed for the second time in 2019. I would have passed in 2015 too, had I known what I was getting myself into.

Kat Dennings isn't hot at all, at least not her face. She has a "fat chick face." The only thing she has going for her are her tits, but those are only good by lowly Hollywood standards. Her tits aren't even in the same league as someone like Yulia Nova, Linsey Dawn McKenzie, Tessa Fowler, etc., in their primes.
