Rian Johnson should have done the 3rd installment too

But no, fanboins had to ruin that one. TLJ had opened to rave reviews, a far cry from the middling response TROS received from critics. But due to the fanboi rage they pulled Rian Johnson off the job and brought back to the helm the hack that J.J. is, who apparently just winged it.
I read a scathing review in the Irish Times of the supposed loose ends that Rian had left behind that apparently no one else could tie back together (https://www.irishtimes.com/culture/film/star-wars-the-rise-of-skywalker-review-it-s-unworthy-of-the-word-cinema-1.4118711). Well, I bet Rian could had they allowed him to come back. But no, because fanboi.

Yes if this film doesn't cover what happened to Rian Johnson's only loose end - i.e. what happened to Broom boy? - then I'm going to be furious...

I can only quote Ivan Drago here, "If he dies, he dies." I have no sympathy for cowardly directorial decisions that seem to have plagued TROS.

Well the whole DT has been plagued by cowardly decisions though hasn't it - Rian Johnson was no better. He ignored everything raised in TFA and just left them hanging, then ended the film ridiculously with about 10 rebels left! Problem is everyone involved wanted to advance their own agenda and not take responsibility for being involved in something which was part of a bigger whole.

That linked review is very funny by the way - recommend anyone takes a read of that...

Absolutely. JJ only did the bidding of Disney.
