There was a disturbing lack of diversity in the Casino scene

It happened in TFA with the Empire, that lacks diversity. I'm sure it was a slip, everyone has lapses of concentration :)

But now you have the Casino scene with no diversity... isn't that strange???

Perhaps they were so busy they didn't notice it :)

Would have been a good opportunity for a Billy Dee Williams cameo... but we wouldn't want to remind people there was actually diversity in the original movies, would we?

reply

Tokenism is not diversity except to the GOP

reply

When the old Star Wars did it it was "tokenism" ... now it's "diversity" ... Riiiight...

Damn! It was sarcasm!!!

It's obvious why there's a lack of diversity in the casino scene: they're bad guys.

You mean like the guest were mostly men, all white, and the few aliens there strongly resembled white Caucasian businessmen?

Yeah I guess you're right, but the lack of diversity was ok there, since everyone in that scene were evil and opportunistic (like all of us white men actually are)

It's called "white maliens", and they're all psychopathic evil aliens that oppress dark skinned aliens. They can't help it :(

Of course! 👍🤔

Its funny we are supposed to add diversity to movies for no other reason than you know there are other groups in the world (US)...but when it comes to the casino in the movie..its like the writer has never been in a real casino...hate to point this out there is a pretty diverse crowd found in casinos, and no they didn't all make their money off war profiteering ;). The whole casino planet thing was crap from beginning to end. But you had to find a reason for Rose in the movie..so this is what we got.
