What Would Star Wars Have Done If The Original Trilogy Stars Turned Down The Sequels? Our Theories

The Star Wars sequels would’ve differed greatly if Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, & Harrison Ford had refused to reprise their OT roles - here’s how.

Was there any real chance of that happening? It seems that actors revisiting old characters in franchises just view it as easy money. The only time I remember an actor turning down a role like that because the direction his character would take was maybe George Takei in Generations. Will Smith wasn’t in the ID4 sequel but I don’t know what the reason was.

Edit: Michael Keaton walked away from the Batman role when Schumacher took over but returned in the Flash.

well the exact same movies without shitting all over Han and Luke would have been a hell of an improvement.

Looking back on it, if I had made this movie, I would've reunited all the Heroes on the same screen instead of how they did it, but whatever.. It made a bunch of $$$$ and The LAST JEDI is where things took a hard nose dive.. I mean, there's a reason why Mark Hamill was so vocal and negative of this until Disney gagged him.. 🤔 And I never even bothered watching the 3rd and final installment
