A very enjoyable movie. The reviews have all been favourable. It covers a number of themes. It deals with redemption, duty, sacrifice and love. You can sometimes create a family due to circumstance and choice rather blood. I like the fact that you see Japan getting back on its feet after the devastation of WW2.

shareAnd such great acting! To be honest, just the first time that I watched an undubbed Japanese movie. And this one was impressive.
shareI agree that this is much more than a romp 'em stomp 'em monster film (though there is quite a bit of that in the movie also!) The human drama actually made me care for the characters more than almost any other Kaiju film.
