Really good but not better than 2004's 'Spider-Man 2'

It improved on some aspects of previous films, though Spider-Man 2 pulled of just about everything it set out to do. Both were highly entertaining.

I think many folks will agree with you — and that’s not counting those hating on Homecoming’s existence. As for myself, I believe Homecoming is as good as a Spider-Man film can be, especially for it being the first movie in a new series. Raimi’s sequel may be more impactful (you have an older Peter facing bigger issues, for one thing), however I hold the opinion that Homecoming is no less greater than the 2004 movie. It’s a different take on Spidey and it succeeds in every way.

So while SM2 deserves its acclaim, Homecoming is my favorite.

Agree with you. It's easily better than any of the Andrew Garfield ones, but still not better than Tobey Maguire's Spiderman 1 & 2.
