Were they going to make Spider-Man Black?
For a while there were rumors that the new spiderman was gonna be black. I was like 'ridiculous' they JUST rebooted spiderman! And they already want a new one.
Nothing to do with getting a black guy. But the idea excited me. Something new. Everyone can agree that the 'amazing' spiderman sucked. Toby was the best SPM and the best SPM movie is SPM 2.
The 'amazing' reboots were just so that sony can keep the rights lol.
No offence to Tom Holland, he did a good job in Civil War. But I feel like 'oh they got another British guy' A change in the casting would have shaken things up. Would have been interesting to have a black SPM. Maybe tackle some racism too.
I feel like it was a cop out. This time SPM is white as always, but everyone else has a tan lol. He has an Asian best friend. He is crushing on a black girl. The sarcastic smart girl is black as well. And they got a Latino to play one of the bullies I guess. Like we'll make everyone else a minority but spm will remain white as the snow. lol
