Genius detective with female sidekick and equally genius female master criminal nemesis.
Goren is also obviously based on Holmes and is a much better actor than Miller.
Plus early BBC Sherlock is also superior (before it disappeared up it's own butt).
And of course Jeremy Brett was the best TV Sherlock.
So no need to watch this show at all.
Wow! I just started watching Elementary and I thought the same thing. . . .Goren and Sherlock! And yes, Jeremy Brett was the best Sherlock! I loved that show. RIP Jeremy Brett. Left us too soon. However, I really like Elementary! Jimmie Lee is a great actor! The show is hardly "average". If you have ever seen any of the Sherlock Holmes movies/tv series you would know that Elementary nails it!
shareMiller IS the show. Don't know about other TV Sherlocks, but Jonny Lee is better than any movie Sherlock, including Rathbone. I couldn't stand Downey's Sherlock. Downey always plays himself.
