Anybody miss arcades?

I do miss it but at the same time I don't because now adays you can create your own arcade at home by purchasing the 1up arcade machines. Then you can set them up however you want and play em without spending a single quarter in order to continue.

Invite friends over and it be no different than what those old arcade game rooms were like except you'd actually know everyone in there with you which makes it even better.

Order up some pizzas and have a blast.

.....either that or just download the arcade games on to a device and have fun with it solo whenever.

I used to draw crowds playing some games.

Older here, but I still do miss those days so much it hurts sometimes.

I lived through arcades with Space Invaders, Battle Zone, Crazy Climber, Joust, ... too many to list here without making myself cry.

There's just no comparison, and it's weird because the IMPROVEMENTS in video games are what I think killed off arcades. Why pump quarters into a machine when your SNES can deliver equivalent gameplay at home with your friends?

Then again, the Dave & Buster's experience is pretty darn close.
