Catwoman is black now????
Why just why?
Because it really, Really doesn't matter. Sometimes it does. . .I'm *still* furious about Idris Elba as Heimdall. . .but sometimes, with a character who's been depicted in WILDLY different ways over the decades, casting like this is Wholly Irrelevant.
Pretty simple.
Ana de Armas is smoking hot, I agree. Far more naturally beautiful. But I actually think Zoe Kravitz makes a good Catwoman. The funny thing is, that in role after role, Zoe Kravitz is made to look really attractive. She looks great in the trailers for this film. She looked great in "Mad Max: Fury Road." I thought she looked fantastic in that movie "Rough Night," though I thought the movie was crap. But the funny thing is I think her personal style is God awful. Seriously, in every candid photo I see of her, she doesn't look good. Bad hairstyle, hate the tattoos, clothes are unflattering, etc. But movie producers or directors know how to bring out her natural beauty in a way she clearly has no idea how to.

Yeah you're kind of proving my point for me. I don't find most of those looks all that attractive. Just goes to show beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Here's the thing: when there's a consensus & you're the outlier, then a statement "she doesn't look good. Bad hairstyle, hate the tattoos, clothes are unflattering, etc. . ." has a Lot less currency than "I don't find her looks all that attractive."
Simple.
Except that I do find her attractive, quite attractive, when she has a better hairstyle, more flattering clothes, no visible tattoos, etc.

Julie Newmar was to Catwoman what Sean Connery was to James Bond--the best.
