Why was Kennedy in a girdle?
If that's what it was? Sure looked like one.

shareHis bad back. He would routinely wear a tightly bound lumbar brace because of the injuries sustained with PT-109 in World War II. He was also wearing it the day Oswald shot him. Many believe the brace returned the president to an upright position after he was shot in the neck. That position allowed Oswald a fatal shot to the head.
shareOkay, thanks. I am surprised he would still be wearing it laying in bed, ready for a BJ, but maybe that's what he did.
shareIt's said he almost always had sex lying on his back as well, because of the bad back.
shareI read a lot of Kennedy biolgraphies when I was younger, and yeah. Both the girdle-like back brace and the having sex while he lay flat were published in reputable biographies.
And in trash biographies, but both seem likely enough to be true. Kennedy had horrible chronic back pain, and spent much of his senate career at least using crutches when the photographers weren't around.
Who knows if the source was reputable, but it seems that entire scene was derived from someone talking in an article about seeing Marilyn going into a room with Kennedy and returning later saying "I think I fixed his back pain."
The story was "saucy," meant to suggest that fun was had.
The fictional scene was something different...
