Kirkman just announced he's going to end the comics. Basic reasons of feeling the story is getting stretched, doesn't want to overstay his welcome, etc. I completely support this. Didn't see any details about when that'll happen though.

Thoughts on this in regards to the show? I'm happy about it. Having an end to the show for an endless book series would feel awkward and forced. Even if the show has a different ending, they should at least have the option of the same ending, I feel.

Now wish Kirkman would go help GRRM learn how to get ahead of the curve.

i believe he said he has an ending he is working towards but it is a long way off.

As far as I'm concerned, he ended it for me when he introduced the new group of antagonists after Negan: The Whisperers. That arc was so ludicrous it made me give up on the comics.

If they are also what is next to follow Negan as the main villains on the TV show, then I'm through that, too.

Maybe Kirkman could end it on a high note soon..?
I dropped the mic on the comic around issue 130 when Carl ran off with that girl (Astrid?) and the skin-suit baddies showed up...just got silly imo...
Anyway, i think show Negan is awesome and they should do two more solid tv seasons of 'all-out war' comic-style and end it
Maybe our boy Rick kickstarts civilization and gets a cool 'send off'...?

The Negan in the comics seems right, a good villain. But the TV Negan is a joke. He got too much hype and now the damn show is ll about him, and all about the characters in relation to him. No, too much of him is NOT a good thing. And the big "who got Lucilled?" thing having us all wait was overkill. It certainly soured me. Truthfully, I'm not even looking forward to the new season.

The Lucille thing was an obnoxious and stupid move by the writers-totally agree
But while comic Negan was cool i dig JDM's performance and hes pretty cool in general ( imo anyway...maybe hes a grouch with fans as per that other thread...whatever...)
Im looking forward to Rick and the gang whipping his ass in the next couple seasons!

I do want to see Rick do to Negan what happens in the comics. I hate the guy. JDM is cashing in on his big celebrity right now, and honestly, it makes me nauseated.

I still love TWD but would be cool w/it ending at S9 or w/a short 6-episode S10! I always think it's best to end on a high, and for me, TWD is still at a high. LOL! I know I may be in the minority, but I still really enjoy the show.
