What Will The Live Action Barbie In The 1980s Be Like

Starring Kim Basinger. Maybe? Recently rewatched that Batman '89 movie and not viewed it in years. Anyway, she is so great in that. Also Micheal Keaton voiced Ken in Toy Story 3. Haha.

Lot of sexual innuendo in true eighties fashion.

There were a TON of hot chicks in the 1980s, from Morgan Fairchild and Bo Derek, to Elle MacPherson and -- as mentioned by Drax -- Kim Basinger.

Heck, even Michelle Pfeiffer would have made for a great Barbie back then. Lots of tall, hot blondes to choose from.

Plot would have been campy and innuendo filled but still fun and adventurous enough for families, not unlike a lot of kid/teen films from the 1980s.

It would probably be similar to flicks -- in tone and pacing -- like Masters of the Universe with Dolph Lundgren or Adventures in Babysitting. Likely something about Barbie having to get to a fashion show but her car breaks down and there's a rush to beat the clock; along the way she meets some people (maybe Ken?), goes shopping, does the try-on-clothes montage with some contemporary pop song (likely something from Madonna, like "Material Girl"), does the whole visit a theme park, and play around at the beach for a bit, and then there's some shocking revelation that causes a rift between her and Ken, and then she has to receive a pick-me-up speech from a mentor or somebody, makes it to the fashion show in a nick of time, and then reunites with Ken after doing a successful runaway routine.

Roll credits. Play another hip, contemporary pop song that will get all the teeny bobbers excited. Make bank.

What Will The Live Action Barbie In The 1980s Be Like

Are you asking what a live action Barbie movie would have looked like if it would have been made in the 80s or what will a live action Barbie movie that is produced today but set in the 80s look like?

These are two vastly different things and based on your question what "will" it look like, I would assume the latter.
