This is why the most important thing is Casting properly

Uncharted is a fantastic video game. Played all 4 parts with my parents watching because it's like a movie unfolding. As the games progressed the cutscenes became even better and movie like. The voice of the actress is super alluring and amazing.

I always visualized Nathan Fillion making the perfect Nathan Drake and the girl who actually voiced the lady Rose something the perfect actress.

Had they made a movie with those chars instead of a dweeb and Spiderman it would've been better imo. Tom Holland comes off like a child in this movie instead of a self depreciating but also hard man who has that smirk and grin and makes cougar womens panties wet with his smiles.
Jake Sully would've been better with someone else than the crap acting of Mark Wahlberg. Absolutely terrible casting.

After a few scenes I wouldve asked them to leave politely and hired new actors. Maybe someone unknown but ones who fit that part well.

The movie itself is interesting plot wise but I just couldn't stand their lack of chemistry and brotherhood and lack of urgency in situations or wonder or something more macho.

TomHolland can work as say Tintin, but not Nathan Drake.

I rate this 5.5/10

Jake Sully is the Sam Worthington character from Avatar, not Uncharted.

Had they cast a 50 years old TV actor, the studio wouldn't have made its money back

It would have been worse with Fillion. Casting a 50 year old as somebody in their early twenties is idiotic.

It would be a different movie. More of "Indiana Jones" variety.

Obviously, if this movie is successful, there will be more of it. But does Tom Holland look like a tough outdoor explorer?

Nathan Fillion does look the part: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5CZQpqF_74

Of course I don't think OP was talking about him specifically, more of actors with that kind of look.
