Just so damn good.

This will only get better with age. Amazing film. Notice something new every time. I'd much rather prefer a sequel with Max and Furiosa than a prequel with just Furiosa (not a crit of C.T. she's phenomenal). Just prefer to move the story forward than go back but I'll take anything I can get. Unreal how George Miller pretty much came out of nowhere and built his masterpiece at a ripe old age. This is among the best of cinema art.

The only thing that could have made this film perfect is that they had casted an Australian as Max instead of a Pom and did the majority of the filming their instead of South Africa. Australians like me felt robbed seeing that this was such an iconic Aussie series.

I will never understand why so many people did backflips over this serviceable, disposable film. Mad Max 2 is imo the only truly memorable entry in this franchise.

Fair enough. What's the last movie you really enjoyed watching?

Thanks to lockdown I’ve watched quite a lot of films in recent weeks... the last movie I really loved was Andrei Rublev, just a few days ago. If we’re talking recent movies, from last year I liked Parasite, The Nightingale, Honey Boy, Dolemite is My Name, 1917, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Little Women, Pain & Glory... and quite a lot of others!

Could not agree with you more! George Miller knocked it out of the park with this one.

While I would have prefered a direct sequel also, I'm still very excited about the prequel too.
