Bane's death was anti-climactic

I thought so

Just reluctantly re-watched this film and maybe not the death itself but the dismantling of Bane as the main villain followed by his death was a bit odd / underwhelming.

First Batman takes him out with a few punches to the mask, so he's left wheezing and ready to be put out of his misery. Then we get the Talia twist and - Boom! - he isn't even the main villain anymore, reduced to a sad, devoted lead henchman by her backstory reveal. Then Catwoman comes along and blows him away unceremonious just as he got to his feet again...

So the character was dismantled in three stages and cut a rather pathetic figure by the time he was blasted.

As for Talia turning him into a henchman - that part was meant to appease the comic-book fans. There, Bane is actually Poison Ivy’s sidekick/muscle. Ivy’s character didn’t work in the Nolan universe, so they plugged Talia in her spot basically

I thought it was great. Too many movies set up some big final battle and drag it out. Just get it over with. Bane wasn't the main villain.
