Less than Goodfellas, The Departed, The Wolf of Wall Street, Gangs of New York, and Casino.

Not as good as Taxi Driver or Goodfellas, very little is, but definitely better than Gangs of New York and Casino. I have it around the same level as The Wolf Of Wall Street and slightly above the Departed.

No way its better than The Departed. No way bro. Its so long, its so boring. Great characters and production and cinematography but it drags.

It's not Goodfellas but it's probably tied for second place with Casino. It's waaay above Departed (im from Boston and love The Departed).

These movies about organized crime and violence suck. It is all sensationalistic BS about vicious people who you'd never want to know or be around or do business with anyone who knows them either. People watch it for the violence and the suspense ... so they do not have time to think about the reality ... these movies suck. So yes, I agree with you, but not about all those other movies ... they were just as bad.
