movie is all over the place. what could have been truman show in the horror genre messes everything with real supernatural beings.
seems random and disconnected. too many ideas tried to fit into it.

Yep...it felt aimless to me, like whoever wrote it just started with a blank sheet of paper and came up with shit as he went along.

It’s really not as impressive as it’s made out to be. Scream did a better job of satirizing horror tropes in a more convincing postmodern fashion, while at the same time being actually scary and suspenseful. And that was almost 20 years before.

It isn't satirizing the genre, its honoring it by validating it's importance.
