why wasn't there a sequel?

I thought this movie was pretty good

"Touchdoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooown Auburn" - Jim Fyffe

reply

Because it didn't make enough money to justify producing a sequel, just like "John Carter."

Show business is all about the bottom line, after all.

reply

Because the movie totally bombed at the box office.

The movie tanked so badly that Bruckheimer had to retreat into TV work to maintain his cocaine pile.

reply

It was pretty good, but the budget was astronomical and the box office reception was weak. Critics didn't get it and theater chains didn't let it run long enough for word of mouth to build.

reply

It failed at the box office.
