At least the second movie (regardless of it's budget) tried to ape the first movie (in terms of scope and action)
Sadly, this movie (that I was looking forward to) was just plain dull, talky and had far too much 'filler' plot and not enough 'Shark' action. I'm a glutton for DTV movies (my username should verify this) but even I was checking the clock every 10 minutes (or so)

Plus Bren Foster was completely wasted here (the guy should be a legit action star in his own right)

Deep Blue Sea 1 was MUCH better than Deep Blue Sea 2. So what does that say about this one?

I agree. Just saw both of them this weekend and the second one was far more entertaining than i expected. This one however seems to be pretty boring. Heck, i would say that the "bad guys" in this movie was right to begin with.
