Laughable film
Matthew Mc's serviceable performance couldn't save this garbage film. Plot holes galore, cliche characters, predictable twists, and Philippe's dreadful performance means this film is an average 80's B-movie drama

Yep, I am shocked that this has a 7.3 average...proving that at least 48% of our country is stupid. Anyway, as soon as this film ended, my first and only thought was....disappointment. Oh yea and cliche. Cliche disappointment.

shareThis movie was great until the scene with the mother paying the sons legal fees ended. Then it just went into la la land.
shareThis is a very entertaining movie. McConaughey, and everyone else in the cast, are excellent. It even follows the book closely. The book's author, Michael Connelly, wanted McConaughey for the lead. It all worked out swell. Too bad you weren't able to enjoy it.
