I wish people would just rate films legitimately. Right now..very early obviously, about half the scores are 10s..the next highest are 1s...though only half as many as 10s. I'm sorry but the chances this film is a legit 10 or 1 are slim. Its my opinion, I understand that..but 10 is cinematic perfection. A 1 is something that is so bad people involved should be imprisoned.

I dont base my decision to watch solely on reviews, generally I ignore critics and I usually just read the reviews that are in the middle in scores as they are likely the most honest opinions. It just getting old with the people on both sides of the spectrum rating films this way.

Many people have already made up their minds about this film.

A faction of the populace will hate this film no matter what. It could be the best thing going and these peoples will tear it apart as they consider it part of the 'other sides' political belief system.

The fact they're so upset that the lead is a Native American Woman is puzzling to me. Just sheer hatred for anything non-White Male. And I'm not a left leaning person by any stretch of the imagination. Bizarre that some are so offended by this film.

I don't think it's the fact that the lead is not a straight white man but "when" and "how" they are not a straight white man.

I'd say most people who have that problem have more a problem with imposing modern ideas on history and shoving that down our throats than just who someone is.

Review bombed? This mediocrity has a 7.2. Its overrated on IMDB.

They have been which only occasionally matches up with audience preferences. The ratings have improved since I posted this..there is still a high number of 10s..But the film seems to hit as a 7 or 8 for many that are rating it.

For me its the setting of the film that doesn't work, the lead being female or male or native American doesn't matter since I don't believe anyone from this time poses a threat to such a creature. So that's my issue before I have even seen it.

The Twitter crowd think it's a masterpiece and the anti-woke crowd think it's terrible. Trying to remain as unbiased as possible, both are likely wrong. It's probably just another okay-ish entry in the franchise, akin to Predators.

That is where I am leaning. I don't have Hulu and I haven't seen The Predator yet so it will be awhile before I see it. But I just find it annoying people cant just be honest. We don't need a person's activism in the review process of the movies. Its why critic reviews cant really be taken seriously anymore, between the paid ones and the ones that cant seem to review it down the middle it leaves the entire group without credibility.
