Is It Time For These Films To Shed Their "Racism" Against Gorillas In The Next One?

Of course I quoted racism in that title as we're talking species here rather than race.

However, PotA has definitely always supposed to have been viewed as analogous to the human condition. And yet in every single film, these big hulking massive black brutes, the gorillas 🦍 are depicted as the muscle for the ape society.

They are consistently depicted as unrefined, hot headed and looking to kill others, often without much provocation.

If we look at them in comparison to the chimps and orangutans, they are very clearly second class citizens. Looked down on upon and often seen as a necessary evil to do the dirty work for the superior race, er sorry, species...

It's kind of amazing in today's diverse and forward thinking climate that this continued to be overlooked, even in this most recent film.

So what do you think - Is It time for real change? Should we see a gorilla protagonist in the next installment? ALL apes together strong?

I would definitely like to see more gorillas in these films.

Would definitely like that, Gorillas and Orangutans are my favorite apes, while chimps are mean bastards. Yes, it is time for a Gorilla hero. A sneaky Orangutan like King Louie would be also an interesting take.

Or that one ape kaiju in 'Godzilla x Kong: the New Empire'.
