Otherwise why would one of the characters turn into one of the creatures? that really doesn't fall within a race based analogy. To me this seemed more about poverty and class conflict

sharebecause he is learning to see things from another race/ethnic groups "eyes"...and how he is being treated by others when he is turning, just because he looks slightly like them. where previously he dehumanized them and saw them as literally animals (prawns)
