This is Creed. Not Rocky. I don't get how a spin-off is supposed to stay exactly like the original.
shareIt doesn't have to stay like the original but one does wonder if MBJ feels bad at all for pushing Stallone out of a franchise that Stallone started, especially when Sly has made it clear that he's unhappy.
After all, they worked together for two movies, and he was the junior party being given an opportunity. Does he feel any sense of loyalty?
Did you want a perennial Rocky like the Jame Bond character in the 007 films? That would get old.
Time marches on. Why not see the son of a major character from the original films take the lead?
Why do you suppose Stallone did not write sequels based upon another white boxer? Going to call Stallone a traitor to the white race now?
The film is all negro, however it’s a great flick! Loved it.
