Really enjoyed this for what it was, a different take on the monster genre, though it felt a bit Hollywood.
About ten years ago Troll Hunter came out. Loved it, even though I'm no fan of found footage films.
It reminds me a little of Emmerich's Godzilla...

shareThey borrowed many ideas. (Now female) protagonist standing in the footprint of the creature, protagonist being kicked out of the team, has to act then on her own. Thanks god no annoying reporter in this one... And funny to see New York City replaced with tiny little Oslo.
shareI don't know about that. I liked Troll Hunter a lot but this, I found unwatchable - just checked, and I abandoned it after 39 minutes. The characters seem ridiculous, the dialog is silly and everyones reactions to the bizarre events are unbelievable. It also annoyed me that it seemed nobody even noticed the first few dozen deaths. Almost like they knew it was only a movie...
