Is this supposed to be a prequel to one of the movies then? It's pretty weird.

With Peter Parker being born in 2003 at the end of this movie, this is tying into MCU Peter. Frankly if Marvel won't let them have their Spider-Villains and Spider-Allies in the MCU I wish they could just have their own Spider-Man film outside the MCU to have them crossover. I admit I would have rather had Venom redone in the MCU along with Morbious, Kraven, and Carnage getting introduced in it but it also is such a waste of money if these Spidey characters never interact with some version of Spider-Man.

They're taking what made these characters interesting & doing the exact opposite.
madame web is old when spider-man comes along, so this makes perfect sense
