I decided to watch this because the manbabies kept complaining how “woke” it is. I’m now on #TeamTeela!

The toxic fandom who keeps whining about wokeness are really unbearable. They only race swapped one minor character, Andra. And I happen to love Teela’s new look—she is both beautiful and powerful. Her leading an army of men was truly inspiring in episode 1.

I think it’s a positive thing that female characters get more emphasis in the new Masters of the Universe—it is reinvigorating this iconic series. Society has evolved and these modest changes are quite forward thinking and on the cutting edge. If we had He-Man and the male characters getting all of the attention, there would be much less fan interest because the modern audience is now more feminist and diverse.

Count me in for #TeamTeela!

I've got a thousand dollars that says you liked The Last Jedi.

reply

I actually did like the Last Jedi. It is my favorite Star Wars film outside of the original trilogy.

It's unfortunate that Disney/JJ Abrams got cold feet and did not have to courage to follow through in the direction that Rian Johnson was taking the sequel trilogy.

The Rise Of Skywalker is a jumbled mess.

It's time for popular culture to move ahead with the times. You are the one who lives in fear while I feel confident about the future :)

(I can deadlift 400 lbs by the way--so maybe I am "progressive", but I'm definitely not a soy LOL)

I'm also happy to see that Amazon's Lord of the Rings series will also be more inclusive by having more female and diverse characters as well.

Didn't ask about you having to lift your 400lbs fat ass off your bed daily

And Amazon is also ruining a franchise.. Lord of the Rings is based on Nordic and Anglo/Saxon myths. That means white.

I'm sure you'd be upset if there was white people in an African or Asian myth setting wouldn't you?

I liked it. The animation is fantastic, action is good, and there's tons of mythology and more screen time to background characters. I thought Duncan was a beast. I'd love to see more of that. Orko's role was awesome. I loved seeing him get a purpose. Comic relief is great - I love to laugh - but depth and purpose are better. And Evil Lynn and BeastMan get more attention? I was more than fine with that. I liked that a lot. I really enjoyed Roboto too.The cameos and smaller roles were all enjoyable as well.

But the lack of He-Man is a valid complaint. He's the main character after-all. Skeletor is the main protagonist. They are the faces of the franchise. But this is only part 1. If they are at front and center of the second part, this problem goes away.I was also a little disappointed in Hamill. He didn't bring much personality, just did a voice; and the Joker voice at that.

This is not a woke show. Not at all. Those are baseless complaints by sad little men.

Most audiences feminist? You are nuts.

I am glad you like the show! I still have to watch episodes 3, 4, and 5.

If my post seemed a bit inflammatory, I'm just having fun with the anti-woke people. It just seems that they take up 90% of the noise, and I figure I could ruffle their feathers a little.

reply

I don't blame you. So your just pretending be super woke just to piss these guys off. Because that would makes sense.

reply

Yeah but standard crazy here will say it is. Just because Teela is the focus of it for a little while dosn't make its woke.
