From February 2025 to November 2025. Let's see how long it keeps that release date for...

This is turning into the new Flash movie. That one took 9 years from announcement to release date

Yeah, tell me about it. It’s been kind of surprising how this project is the one that Marvel Studios has been having the most trouble with.

For real! I get Fantastic 4 & X-Men being an issue but this one is "easy".

At least on paper. You don't need a 200+ million budget for this project. You can do it on the cheap.

Let it be "Street level" & grounded, ala Daredevil & The Punisher.

A mysterious, shady guy, who doesn't have any people skills, moves into the neighbourhood asking about & looking into recent disappearances that have been happening around Brooklyn/Harlem (pick your poison).

They always happen at night. Homicide is also up. With victims being reported as having "the blood sucked outta them".

Wait a sec, did I just pitch a Blade movie? 😆

I feel like some of it has to do with the fact that Mahershala himself has been pushing back against some of the creative choices that they've tried to make with this movie.

I think the recent "leak" said something like, it was supposed to focus on female leads & he'd be like the fourth lead or something.

They've been other reports but I can't recall them all, sorry.

The first script he rejected apparently only had two fight scenes. Marvel is getting the wrong people to write and direct this movie.

Why not just get the guys who did the John Wick movies. One of them even made Deadpool 2.
