if Laurie wanted the house to burn

Maybe she should've waited to tell the fire department that?

reply

So many bad script decisions, I still don't like the first film and hated kills..

reply

Are The Fire Department allowed to just go; "Oh, you deliberately set fire to your own home? No worries, we'll just go back to the station then"?

reply

Probably not. But as indicated, I don't think the procession at the end of Ends was really *allowed* either. I think it's situational. The firefighters probably know who Michael Myers is, and have heard that he's on the rampage again. So had they been able to talk to Laurie long enough for her to explain that she has him trapped inside and hopes to burn him alive, they might make an exception.

reply

Sure, because firefighters always welcome some kind of lynch law...

reply

Given who was in there, they might've. Even at the end of Halloween Ends, someone says "This isn't how we do things" in regards to the procession, and the sheriff says "Tonight it is."

reply

Maybe that's "human". But I still don't like the message it sends...
