HBO’s The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley (2019)

Why watch this dramatization when there exists an excellent, compelling documentary about Holmes and Theranos? I found the documentary much more riveting than this series. It is fascinating to watch footage of the real Holmes in action as she swindles investors, and hear accounts from former employees of all the chaos going on within of Theranos labs.

I've watched the first 4 episodes and can agree, this series makes no sense.
Like there is so much outthere about this case, much more interesting too.

But . . . But Hulu needs CONTENT, just like Applr and Amazon and, y’know, NETFLIX.

I think this whole streaming services land rush is sheer bullshit. I do not see any of these freshman services providing interesting content. They seem to appeal to older children who respond, “Streaming! So cool!”

Yeah, I know I’m stretching by lumping Netflix in as a “freshman,” but my contempt for Netflix, the McDonald’s of video providers, is so strong that I can’t resist.

There are too many of them, it’s so annoying. There are programs I want to watch on all of them, but none of them have enough content that interests me to retain me as a subscriber. So I hop from service to service, taking advantage of special offers and them dumping the service so I can move on to another one.
