Am I the only one having trouble remembering the characters' names?

I don't know who the fuck they are talking about half the time! Only unique names like Mare and Siobhan are identifiable.

Honestly, I had to write them all down. A lot of people zig-zagging in and out.

Six hours later and I'm just now learning who JOHN, BILLY, and Erin's father are suppose to be. Is his name KENNY??? I'm still not sure what to call him.

Also had the same problem with the other NEW HBO show called THE NEVERS (where it also had a parade full of characters popping in and out all the time).

I think cutting the SEASONS in HALF (SIX FEET UNDER use to have 13 episodes per season), also has something to do with this problem where we don't see characters long enough to really KNOW WHO they are anymore.
