I like what they did with the accents in this film... the way it starts out with Tom Cruise speaking German, with subtitles and then it transitions to him speaking English in his natural accent...

Better than ignoring the native language of the character altogether and better than having a butchered accent...

They already did that in The Hunt for Red October.

Except for cast members who used Russian accents while speaking English, implying that they had just stopped speaking Russian and inexplicably started speaking English with Russian accents.

Supposedly Cruise called the entire production together the first day of shooting as a token of spirit & team work. Some wise ass lifted his leg and blasted a good sized fart in the middle of a moment of silence in prayer at the end.
